HI! I’m Clement Wilson Fonseca, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker, psilocybin facilitator, and somatic practitioner based in Portland, Oregon. With a background in psychotherapy, social work, rites of passage, initiation, and integrative healing, I support and guide individuals through life’s thresholds with care, depth, and attunement.

Interhealing is a word that came to me to describe what the living world has always known: that healing happens in relationship. Forests, rivers, communities, and constellations all participate in this intelligence of reciprocity and repair.

I first learned about the inner healing intelligence through my study of psychedelic-assisted therapy, a concept first articulated by Stanislav Grof and later carried forward in contemporary psychedelic therapy frameworks. It points to the body and psyche’s innate capacity to move toward wholeness when supported. Over time, I began to sense that this intelligence isn’t only within us, but also between us — the same self-organizing wisdom that moves through relationships, ecosystems, and all parts of the living world.

While I gave language to Interhealing, the process itself is ancient. It is the way life repairs, regenerates, and comes back into balance through relationship. This natural intelligence has always existed within and around us.

I invite my clients to remember that the pursuit of healing is an interdependent and interconnected process that unfolds through relationships: with yourself, with others, with the natural world, and with the stories, culture, and lineages that shape your life. I support people in cultivating bonds grounded in reciprocity, trust, and authenticity.

As a queer and transgender man, I understand what it means to live in flux and transformation. My work holds space for complexity and authenticity, inviting all aspects of you to belong, even those that feel unresolved, doubtful, or in transition.

I work with a wide range of experiences throughout all of my various offerings, both individually and in groups. Some of the experiences I commonly support include:

  • Treatment-resistant depression

  • Burnout and chronic stress

  • Queer and trans identity exploration

  • Exploring transgender masculinity

  • Spiritual inquiry and existential questions

  • Life transitions and threshold moments

  • Developmental and relational trauma

  • Relational patterns like over-responsibility or difficulty expressing needs

My work is informed by social and transformative justice, queer and feminist theory, transpersonal psychology, somatic practices, narrative therapy, psychedelic healing, rites of passage work, and creativity. My work is not limited to any one modality or orientation — throughout all my offerings I aim to cultivate spaces where healing and growth can unfold on personal, relational, ancestral, and ecological levels, honoring the fullness of each person’s journey.
