EFT TOTAL BODY MERIDIAN SEQUENCE

This part of the EFT workshop will lead you through a total body EFT sequence coupled with the basic principle of using a turn around statement. Remember, please see the EFT site for a wealth of information, and if you want some personal support you may contact me at the bottom of this page to work on undoing the negative effects of old trauma.

The advantage of this total body approach is it stimulates more of the body's meridian flow which is what you want to clear out old stuck energy.

Our goal is total health, body, soul and spirit, which means union of our conscious and unconscious intelligence in the pleasure of bodily health and spiritual joy. Please remember, pleasure is a sign of health, not something "wrong." Pain is a sign of something wrong. We need to be very clear about this as an unhealthy relationship with pleasure—either in repression or addiction—is one of the most wide-spread energy reversals and source of phobias in our society.
TECHNIQUE:
This time you will use the basic finger tapping pattern that is presented here again and also stimulate your meridian paths with gentle massage, finger brushing and 10 fingertip scraping. The Meridian diagram below shows some main meridian flows. Once you get the idea, you can actually vary your movement through the meridian patterns any way you want. Allow your body sense to guide you, and experiment. This sense of free experimentation allows new insights and relationship between your "unconscious" intelligence and your everyday consciousness.

This is also a very invigorating massage of itself, whether you are working on the energy reversals or not.
Tap with 1 to 3 finger tips, it doesn't matter. Tap somewhere between 5 to 9 times on each spot. Get a sense of timing instead of counting. The exact number isn't that important.

Spot 1: inside corner of eyebrow.

Spot 2: Outside corner of eye.

Spot 3: Under eye.

Spot 4: Center between lip and nose.

Spot 5: Center between mouth and
           chin.

Spot 6:
Just below where collar bone
            connects with breast bone.

Spot 7: Just below breast.

Spot 8: Underarm equal with nipple.

Spot 9: "Soft spot" on top of head.

 

Crown of Head: The crown of head area is very sensitive and a main energy center. Tap ten fingers along the line a hat would sit on as well as top area.

Jaw Line: rub, massage, work the tension out of it as you do your reversal statements.

Upper Chest Area:
Gets a lot of stuck emotional energy. Tap with ten fingertips down the green line areas and massage.

Stomach Area: Has many energy points. Very comforting to brush skin lightly in large circle with the palm of your hand.

Sides of Torso: Very sensitive and stimulate "happiness hormones". This is the tickling area of little kids. Rub skin lightly with your hands.

Arms, wrists and hands: Rub lightly the underside of one arm all the way to fingertips. Then rub the inside of your wrists against each other. Next, rub your two palms together vigorously. Repeat the other side.
Back of Head

Massage entire back of neck.

Massage green line along base of skull with fingers.

Gently spread the green spot at base of skull with fingers.

Use fingertips to vigorously rub green spot area at back of head.

Return to Crown area, tapping 10 fingers all over.

Massage outside area of ears, from top to lobs.

This finishes one complete sequence. Flow through it. Practice keeping it moving.
DOING THE ENERGY REVERSAL SEQUENCE:
Remember: a new sequence starts by rubbing the sore spot, (the blue spot in the two top diagrams above), right under the collar bone and in the center of it. It is obvious when you find it. If you don't "feel" like getting free of something it is probably because your unconcious mind is so familiar with it and has built a structure around it. This is an "energy reversal." Rubbing the sore spot OR you may also tap the edges of your hands together just below the little finger as you say the reversal statement will clear you for change. As you rub or tap say the following phrase:

Even though I feel I am...(voice your specific negative problem, such as angry with my boss, feeling insecure about myself, etc.) I love and accept myself completely. Or, Even though I don't want to get over this... (anger, self-pity, addiction, etc.) I love, forgive and accept myself completely.

This clears you for change. It seems to bring a sense of safety to your inner being which allows your unconscious to relax and open.

Then tap on spot #1 (inner corner of eyebrow) as you say the statement again: Even though I....(negative problem) I love and accept myself completely. You can add forgive or respect to the positive statement, whatever is most meaningful to you. The point is to say the negative with complete honesty and allow any feeling you have to just be and then link it with the positive as you get energy moving through your meridians.

Keep it up as you go through the sequence, tapping on each point as you say the phrase that affirms both the negative and the positive at the same time. This "eases" you into what might otherwise be very painful if you just went with the negative. It also helps healing begin, linking a painful negative to a healing positive.

Once you have eased into it a bit, speak out the negative that is bothering you as honestly and openly as you are able: even exaggerate it and BE SPECIFIC, for example: instead of my boss annoys me, (general) you could say something like, "When my boss flatters Mary and ignores me, it makes me want to scream... etc." Now, as you say this rate how upset it makes you feel on a scale from 0 being not upset at all, to 10 being steaming, screaming mad, or supper depressed—whatever it is. Do perhaps 2 sequences of tapping from area 1 through 9, then do the entire meridian sequence as you repeat just this negative statement. Now rate your feeling again. Just guess the number. It isn't a test. If it is not at 0 which is completely neutral and you still have a number, say the negative with few words: such as "boss's anger", or "being ignored" as you continue tapping and doing the meridian flow until you feel much more neutral about your statement. Remember, zero is completely neutral: what has upset you does not arouse a feeling anymore; you have peace. When the total body sequence brings you to the zero point you have restored balance to your meridians and cleared the issue. The amazing thing is, once neutralized in your system this particular issue usually does not return.
Now choose something for your life that really gets your juices flowing and say, I choose... as you run through the sequence. Affirm yourself as the most positive, free person you can imagine. "I choose to be loving and kind. I choose to fulfill my highest potential. I choose joy and health. I choose fantastic opportunities." Affirm Love. Affirm beauty. Affirm success as you define it. Be specific. Affirm your dreams. Tap it, rub it and massage it into your meridian system. Really enjoy this. Remember, you are literally reprogramming your body/mind energy system—your intelligent programming below the level of your normal conscious awareness—what has been called, the "subconscious". This is a powerfully positive way to end your session.
If the negative will not go down to zero or does and returns then your present problem is linked to something else, probably a childhood wound, and this present situation is just reminding you of it. That is good, because this "present issue" can then lead you to a deeper and more complete resolution and healing.

If you know you need to track down the deeper source of your present negative emotion as you run through the sequences ask yourself something like:
What does this experience with my boss remind me of? or, When is the first time I remember feeling ignored and rejected this way?

Keep tapping, rubbing, etc. as you allow your "unconscious" to help you. If a memory comes up then work on it with the sequence presented above. For example:

Even though my father ignored me and always complemented my sister, I love and accept myself completely... You get the idea.
ADD TOP OF HEAD TAPPING:
The only thing I want to add is I find tapping simultaniously on the top of head (number 9 in the diagram) while you go through the meridian stimulation sequences with your other hand powerfully stimulates meridian flow. Try it.
